Some coffee groups, blogs have released some new surveys and data reports that I feel like really supports the direction that Filter'd is going! Some really interesting things here!

A new group called Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity has emerged and pushing out some webinars and a pathway to make the coffee industry for equitable, from farmer to consumer. The roasting/consumer side is overwhelmingly not diverse in specialty coffee so there is a lot to do here.Β

I submitted over the weekend and definitely took a step away from Glide, Makerpad, but not coffee...
Currently watching some analytics and seeing what I can do to tweak the events for better data.Β

I hooked up my notion page with super to make the domain for the site. Thanks to super I was able to use one of the brand fonts for the site as well, which is a nice touch.
https://www.filterd.xyz/ (was $0.99, so decided to just get it for this challenge)
Made some edits based on feedback for brew recipe forms and some other tweaks.Β

I have been thinking of creating something using notion.
Filterd looks awesome.
How much is the pricing of Super?

I have come to a place where I am pretty happy with the way things turned out. I the think the app is in a happy spot and I have built out the notion pages that I want to support it. I recorded a little walk-through, but its a little rougher and longer than I wanted so I will probably record it again! But y'all get this version for now! :)
I am still waiting for some last minute feedback from some folks I reached out to, but will hopefully be able to implement or turn it into backlog items!

I enjoyed the walhthrough as well Travis. Great work!
Going through the material and concept I found myself keen on the idea. Very interesting to see where you take this.
Best of luck!

Great Work! Love the addition of the recipes and the buy links. Maybe affiliate links for buying coffee/gear would let you monetize the app in a non-invasive way?
It's cool to see the history of the app via past posts. Looking forward to contributing to the community more.
Now I have to add my upside-down Aeropress recipe.

I added a little section to collect feedback. I am also going through and adding some more entries to build out the library a little bit more!

I have a few features I still want to add before the end of the week, like a feedback form, help sections, and also a release tab. All should be easy to add! I have been working on the high level concept more, just to try and focus on some other aspects of the project! cofffee.glideapp.io
I created this place in notion for it! Filter'd Home
I updated my user personas I have been using throughout the hackathon as well!Β

I have spent time today refining my idea and trying to lock down why I am building this. I have also spend time updating this kanban board that I have used for tracking.

Took a step back yesterday and today knowing that I would be investing more time this weekend into Filter'd. Hoping that I can approach some ideas with new eyes and start organizing and finalizing thoughts for next week.Β
A small team of developers found me on reddit and they claim they have been doing a similar project, so we are going to try and connect sometime soon. They have been focusing on backend/data and do not have any UX background. Seems like it will be a interesting conversation.Β
I think a conversation around sustainability, quality, and access to coffee is something I haven't acknowledged with this solution. It would be very interesting to explore these areas. I received this comment, which sparked some ideas around quality control.Β

"Hiya! I'm a barista in South Africa and something like this would be really great here! In the city I'm in there's a lot of home brewers and micro roasteries but not enough time to get round to every roastery or cafe to try everything so more often than not, most coffee drinkers are buying bags, going in blind to the experience and business are losing people because of bad first cups due to lack of education or information available on the coffee. Which hands down, needs to change. How do I get in on this??"
For example, a coffee farmer and producer might cup a coffee and give it certain attributes and scores, and then the coffee is sent to a roaster. Could this app be a easy way to communicate across the supply chain and create greater transparency for industry folks and customers? Β

Hi All,
I was curious of examples or ways to have announcements show up in a Glide App. For example, a new release or new feature announcement to show to all users. Is there a way to make it appear once and disappear, or better to just create a persistent tab with release info?Β
What have people seen/done?
